Abstract
The internet has become a vital way to communicate with each other. The most popular medium
for this communication is social media. A large amount of news is published on social media like
Facebook, Twitter, etc., and the users consume a wide range of news. The news can be
misinformation, rumors, hoaxes, spam, satire news or fake news. The common thing among all is
that the information is not verified or not, and it can be credible to believe or not. The research
community’s objective now is to minimize the spread and stop the propagation of fake news on the
network. But this is not enough. It is necessary to check the veracity of the news and assess the
credibility of the new sources to help the audience or consumers choose the best and most credible
source to rely on for guidance and trustable for them.
