Abstract Transoesophageal cardiostimulation is a semi-invasive method of stimulation of atrii enabling the performance of the programmed atrial stimulation without the inevitability of an invasive vascular approach. Transoesophageal atrial stimulation has proved to be a useful diagnostic tool in the management of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia. Twenty seven pediatric patients underwent diagnostic & therapeutic procedures using transesophageal pacing with fulfillment of 70% of diagnostic & 94% of therapeutic goals. |
