Abstract In this stufy, the external and internal morphological changes of the developing Quail heart were examined from the frist till the last day of the incubation. Three hundred embryos were investigated for this purpoe. The prepared samples pholtograhed by using inverted, stereo and light microscopes. It was found that the cargiac looping of the Quail embryos like that of chick emdryos took 3 phases but occurred earlier. The process of cardiac loping was accompanied by the formation of the heart regions and followed by positional changes and disappearance of Bullbus cordies. The internal moorphological changes of the developing quail heart occur nearly at the same time if that of the develoing chick heart. The result obtained are important for embryologists using the quail-chick chimera system in the development. |
