Abstract
This study was carried out on twelve completely edentulous subjects who had not worn dentures.They were divided into two groups according to the period of edentulousness.The first group included subjects of five to twelve months following tooth extraction., and the second group included subjects of five to ten years of teeth extraction.For every subject primary and secondary impressions were made. Record blocks with wax occlusion rims were constructed on the master casts. Two lateral windows were cut in the wax rim starting from canine region to the second molar region. The rims were then flasked, processed and finished in autopolymerizing acrylic resin.Tissue conditioning material and korecta wax No. 4 were used to locate the neutral zone by functional action of the musculature of the cheeks, lips and tongue for each sub j e c t.Dental surveyor was used for locating the neutral zone by using tissue conditioning material and korecta wax No. 4
