Abstract
This work aims at reviewing the various causes of vertigo, their clinical manifestations ; with special stress on the specific features of the symptom of vertigo in each cause.
It also aims at throwing the light on the neuroanatomical areas in the central nervous system in which a pathological process may cause vertigo, and finally the investigative tools that might have place in a case of vertigo especially caused by a brain stem lesion.
