Abstract
The widespread of liver function restoring drugs makes their analysis a matter of foremost importance. The work was directed to develop simple sensitive and whenever possible selective spectrophotometric, spectrofluorimetric, chromatographic and voltammetric methods for the determination of the selected drugs (silymarin, timonacic, vitamin E, biphenyl dimethyl dicarboxylate and methionine) either in single form, binary mixtures or combined with other drugs. The proposed methods were applied for the determination of the assayed drugs both in bulk and in pharmaceutical preparations. Also an example for the simultaneous determination of a drug with co-administered drugs in spiked human plasma is presented in this thesis. Different tests were adopted to evaluate the validity and applicability of the proposed methods.
