المستخلص In this thesis, Radar has been discussed and Radar cross section of targets has been discussed also. Different techniques for reducing radar cross section have been explained, and radar cross section prediction technique is explained in detail. Mat lab programs for computing Radar cross section of some shapes are developed. Stealth is the art of concealing targets from detectors and reducing their radar signatures. To detect targets with low Radar Cross Section (RCS), bistatic radar is proposed. Bistatic radar is claimed to have increasing detection capabilities against stealthy targets. Bistatic radar consisting of two receivers located geographically apart will have an increased resistance against Radar Absorbing Material (RAM) compared to traditionally monostatic radars. The design steps for bistatic radar are presented. These steps include: a) Location of transmitter and receiver on the ground at distance 2a, and achieve line of sight. b) Synchronization in motion and time. C) M<;>dification in range and Doppler measurements. The hardware realization of bistatic synchronization circuit. is designed. This circuit is used for range measurement at receiver site. |
