Abstract
Age related macular degeneratoin is the first cause of registratied blindness in developed countries with age, and other risk factors have been identifed the artophic form is the most frequent form and results in moderete decrease in visual acuity but the wet neovascular form in associated in natural history with a central scotoma within 2 years the disease involves both eye with time fluorescein angiography allows an accurate diagnosis in identifying the subretinal new-vessels, and their location the efficiency of blue green argon laser has been demonsreated when the new vessels extend at more than 200 microns from the center of the macula other from a krypton laser have been used also .as age-related maculopathy is a leading cause of permanent vision loss in elderly people. So it is an important problem which will increase in magnitude as the number of aged people increase.the consequencies of this condition are exacerbated by the fact that treatment especially of the artophic from the disease is ineffective.
