Abstract The aim of the present investigation was to demonstrate the effect of oral framin E administration on some hemodynamic and blood parameters in CA-induced hypertensive rats. Foily eight adult male albino rats, weighing 0-200 gram, were used in this work. The rats were classified into two main ups Normotensive group: Classified into two equal subgroups: ormotensive Non-Treated group ormotensive vitamin E-treated group. - Hypertensive group: Classified into four equal subgroups: ypertensive non-treated group. • ypertensive vitamin E-treated group. ypertensive A CE-I-treated group. ypertensive ACE-I and vitamin E-treated group. In each of the previously mentioned groups, MS PB, vascular reactivity of ic strip to norepinephrinc, fasting serum sodium, potassium and lipids were • ated. The results showed that oral vitamin E (60 mg/kg B.W) for 4 weeks, to otensive rats resulted in an insignificant changes in all tested parameters en compared to the corresponding values in normotensive non-treated group. In hypertensive non-treated group, there was significant increase of BP, vascular reactivity of isolated thoracic aortic strips to I x I0 M NE, ing serum Na, cholesterol, triglycerides and LDL levels, and a significant ease in fasting serum K, FIDL levels and 1IDL/total cholesterol ratio when pared to the corresponding values in normotensive non-treated group. |
