Abstract

Urine diversion after radical cystectomy is a major problem that urologists have to deal with. The search for a suitable method of urinary diversion has been of prime interest of the urologists since the turn of this century.Our study was performed on twenty two(22) patients had cancer bladder from Urology Department, Menoufiya University Hospital. Their ages ranged between 35-70 years old, (6) females and (16) males, they were randomized into two groups. The first group where ureterosigmoidostomy was used and the second where ileal conduit diversion was used.All patients were evaluated preoperatively by detailed history intake, general urological examination, laboratory investigations in the form of (urine analysis, CBC, Renal functions tests, and liver functions). Radiological investigations as K.U.B., I.V.P, abdomino-pelvic ultrasound, C.T scan.
