Abstract The present study was conducted on twelve children suffering prom APSGN whose ages ranged from 5 to 10 years. Seven of them showed symptoms and signs of circulatory congestion. Certain laboratory * •investigations and ^GG were done to all cases on admission and after variable duration of clinical recovery. Three cases showed elevation of ST segment + 2mm in the precordial leads on admission. These changes can be considered to be within the normal range as matched to children with the same age group. There is no evidence of myocarditis either clinically or by EGG findings. There is no association ”between circulatory congestion clinically cr radiology ) and the obtained KGG . Inspite of the normal SCG tracings obtained in the present work, [EGG has to be done for every case to monitor the electrolyte derangement expected to be present in any APSGN cases. Strict measures to decrease circulatory congestion (diuretics, venesection, salt water restriction ) have to be done for every case. |
