Abstract The prevalence of gonorrhoea among married females presenting with leucorrhoea, has becn studied in AlexffiLdria over a period of six months1979~A total of 200 married fem ales with a main complGint of vaginal discharge, attending the out-patient clinics of Shatby, Dhr-Ismail and Medical Insurance hospitals, were examined. All patients were aged between 15-50 years coming fnem different districts of Alexandria, with various educational and socio-econoDic level. A det&iled medical and social history was taken , from all patients and recorded en special questionnaire_. Specimens were taken from endocervix, urethra and rectum transferred to the laboratory in a transport medium where, they were examined by the standard techniques. A prevalence of 9 |
