Abstract

Forensic serology is the application of immunological, serological, and biochemical methods to blood, body fluids and their stains. Forensic serology has made great progress in the past three decades and become a highly specialized field within the forensic science. Forensic serology has resulted from the explosion of knowledge and information about genetic markers in human blood and body fluids. The aim of the present study is to determine the best probability of discrimination between individuals by grouping of their blood, to establish basic database as regards genetic markers for the Egyptian population, and to compare genetic frequencies of different genetic-markers in different ethnic groups.
