Abstract
1. The experimental laboratory results of the fertilizer broadcasting spreader reveal that optimum distribution pattern and high degree of fertilizer uniformity can be achieved under the following conditions :
- Spinner peripheral speed of about 13.08 m/s (500 rpm).
- Forward blade angle of +15°.
- Spinner dip angle of zero degree.
- Spinner height of 50 cm.
- Straight C- shape blade.
- Gate opening of 16.62 cm2.
2. The experimental field results concluded to a definite recommendation of using manure fertilizing machine after development for manuring and chemical fertilization at a forward speed of about 4 km/h to achieve uniform distribution pattern, optimum fertilizer application rate and high crop yield of maize.
