Abstract
I n industrialized countries, most C. trachomatis infectious are sexually transmitted and they, as other sexually transmitted pathoqens. Have reached epidemic levels (8.24) Newborns exposed to chlamydia infected mothers at birth, frequently develop inclusion conjunctivitis and some develop pneumonia due to chlamyclia (8.97) In USA chlamydial pneumonia accounts for 30 to 50 percent of pneumonias in the first 6 months of life. The inclusion nodies of trachoma and that of sexually transmitted chlamydial infections are morphologically identical.
