Abstract Malnutrition is a serious health problem in most of the developing countries especially among infants and preschool children who represent a large sector in the community and are a vulnerable group. therfore, it was necessary to identify some of the nutritional health problems among this age group and to explore the underlying factors that might have an impact on their nutritional status. Zinc , the number one nutritional deficiency in U.S. children, has become a favorite subject of clinical investigation , due to the critical role this forgotten nutrient plays in fighting common colds and maximizing physical growth and development. |
