Abstract Ischemic dilated cardiomyopathy is a well known complication of coronary artery disease and is characterized by dilated left ventricle with multiple segment wall motion abnormalities & both systolic and diastolic dysfunction. Diastolic function of the left ventricle can be assessed by several M -mode and Doppler echocardiographic parameters. Recently, left ventricular outflow tract (LVOT) presystolic velocity can be used as an additional marker of left ventricular diastolic function. |
