The Safety and protection of the environment is critical to the sustainable development of any society. The unapproprite use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, Pesticides affect the rural environment, specially ,with the lack of environmental awareness. Women especially those in the rural areas have low educational status and poor health due to the frequent pregnancy prolonged lactation, limited availability of nutrition and lack of safe drinking water. Despite of the importance of rural women role, the environmental educational and awareness programs didn’t take place in the rural areas . So the aim of the study is to design and assessment of non-conventional environmental health program . This study limited to the following: Three villages in a different distances from Abihomus city have been chosen ( Elgaradate ” Besentuway , Betores ) , 100 women for each village have been taken. 1 - A sample of rural women and girls (100 persons) in every village has been chosen three villages in Markaz Abou Homous, Beheira Govemorate . They were in different distance from Abou Homous town itself Maps (1,2) are enclosed the study. The choice of sample was built to represent the society in every village as they were contrast in age, educational degree, economic activity and the standard of living. 2 - A suggested program in the environmental health which includes: ­Environmental sense and its connection with health: ­ 1 Environmental sense and its connection with the agricultural activity:­ The Environmental sense and its connection with sociology and development. The standards of knowledge and understanding on measuring the range of gaining environmental information in the members of study sample in the theoretical side of the program because the sample is among rural women where the educational standard is less and the percentage of illiteracy increases. The tools of getting data was ( the survey form) about the social status of rural woman and her information about the health of environment which was carried out before and after the educational program . The study passed through the following steps: Theoretical study aimed to showing the theoretical fTame which was the foundation of topic of the study to design the suggested program . The design of the program: The measures of the suggested program The or02:ram included 3 maior sta2:es :­ A - Planning stage. B - Executive stage. C - Evaluation stage. A - Planning stage included: 1 - Sense with the problem. 2 - Collection of records and facts. 3 - Data analysis and facts about the situation. 4 - Limiting the problems of the program. 5 - Limiting the aims of the program in common and the educational alms. B - Executive stage included: 6 - Putting the plan of work. 7 - Executing the plan of work. 8 - Over coming the obstacles which prevent executing the program . 9 - Recommendations of solving problems or in long period. C - Revising and Evaluation stage: - Executing the experience of study: Executive stage passed through the following steps: 1 - Limiting the aim of topic experience. 2 - Limiting the varying of topic. 3 - Limiting the sample of topic. 4 - Preparing for the experience. 5 - Limiting the trial design of topic. 6 - Limiting the measure of executing the experience of topic. 7 - Degreeing the tools of evaluation the program and organizing data resulted in order to handle it in statistics. Data analysis and handle it in statistics to gain results, discuss it to get recommendations and suggestions : Topic results: 1 - The investigator limited the steps of the suggested program : General aims. Educational aims. 3 Some meetings included 3 fields Environmental concept and its connection with health, Environmental concept and its connection with agricultural activity, Environmental concept and its connection with sociology and development. Every meeting included some simplified explanatory educational methods of the environmental concept. Some practices and activities at the end of every meeting. Survey form was the tool of compilation of records to measure the range of getting the necessary information for the three fields. 2 - The results of using amended rate of gaining information of ( Blak ) and the measuring tool of T for averages connected indicated internal effectiveness of the proposed program in: achieving its aims where as the Blak’s ratio exceeded .proper one As for ”T’ correlated its delta was the level of 0.001 . 3 - The results calculating the centigrade descent accumulating of the centigrade ratio groups of the marks of girl students incite that the program is marked with a suitable degree of efficiency.
