Abstract
This study was conducted on 50 apparently healthy mothers and their full term breast fed newborn infants who were born at rural areas at Meniat Alkamh Sharkia and followed up at home .
The studied infants were of both sexes and were fed exclusive breast milk for the first month of life. They were 19 males, 31females whose gestational ages ranged between 37&41weeks with mean gestational ages of 39.18±0.87 weeks their weights ranged between 2.9&4kg with mean of 3516.00±404.37 gm. The age of the studied mothers ranged between 17&34years with mean age of 26.48±5.13years.
