Abstract
The study was carried out on 220 recent head injury patients, who were admitted to the in-patient emergency department of Alexandria Main University Hospital. They were examined clinically with special emphasis on examination of the central nervous system and an x^-ray of the skull was done. Of these, 105 patients were followed up for one year.
The maximum age affected was the school age( 5-14 years) •There was a predominance ^f male patients over female patients with a sex ratio of 4.5 .
