Abstract
The procedures employed in the syntheses of the target compounds are summarized in the following. It is to be noted that all new compounds were determined and identified by the application of both elemental and spectroscopic analyses.
Synthesis of Benzaimidazol -2-yl-sulfonamides (102):
N-Substituted-benzimidazol-2-yl-sulfonamides (102) were prepared by interaction of benzimidsazol-2-yl-sulfonyl chloride (40) with aromatic and heterocyclic amines in acetone in the presence of anhydrous potassium carbonate as a catalyst.

Synthesis of benzothiazol-2-yl-sulfonamides (103):
N-Substituted-benzothiazol-2-yl-sulfonamides (103) were prepared by interaction of benzothiazol-2-yl-sulfonyl chloride.
