Abstract The nutritive value of the different sources of vegetable proteins available for human feeding may be classified into cereal grains such as wheat and maize, legumes such as bean, lentils, peas, fenugreek and lupinus termis, and oil seeds such as cotton seeds and sesame seeds. Such nutritive value is studied. The biochemcial analysis of such legumes is carried out. It is found that the sesame meal contains appreciable amounts of amino acids and is naturally free from any toxic compounds. |
