Abstract
The materials used in the present study are two pedigree strains of Fayoumi chickens during two successive seasons. One of these strains is selected through many years for high egg production denoted as pp. And the other is selected for high body weight at 8 weeks of age denoted by gg. The results obtained show that heritability estimates for body weight of each group is obtained from component of variance for each sex separately. A great variability among dams families than size families is obtained. A highly positive correlation between sexual dimorphism and male body weight at different ages is obtained.
