Abstract
This thesis is concerned with the study of the growth and the metabolic changes of the biochemical constituents of Nicotina tabacum variety Burley 21 during the growth season. The effect of different treatments of colchicine on the dry matter and the metabolic changes of the major biochemical of the plant are also investgated. The present experiment is conducted at the Experimentat stton, tbacco section separtment of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Giza, Egypt. The samples of Nicotiana tabacum, variety :Burley 21 seeds are first sooked in water, then in different concentrations of clochicine ranging between 0.00% and 0.30% for 24 oaurs.
