Abstract
The Present Work Aims To Investigate The Effect Of Gamma Irradiation On Adult Of The Cotton Leafworm S. Littoralis Produced From Irradiated Pupae And To Determine The Value Of The F1 Moths. A Study Is Also Carried Out On Hemolymph Of Irradiated And Non-Irradiated Larvae To Determine Total And Differential Hemocyte Counts, Sugar, Inorganic Phosphate, Lipids And Amino Acids Content. A Histopathological Study On The Effect Of Irradiation On Larval Midgut Is Also Carried Out. The Injury Of Tissues As A Result Of Irradiation Consists Of Moderate To Complete Destruction Of The Cells With The Increase Of Dose Of Gamma Irradiation Up To 40 K Rad.
