Abstract
Cyclodextrin glucosyltransferases cgtases ec 2.4.1.19 belong to the q amylase family glycosyi hydrolase family 13 henrissat 1991 an important group of starch converting enzymes the difference between q amylase and cgtase is in reaction specificity and is most likely caused by the acceptor binding site van der veen et al 2001 whereas q amylases usually catalyze a hydrolysis reaction using water as acceptor.
