Abstract
The tradition of grapevines is as old as that of man and intermingled with it, grape belongs to family vitaceae and genus vitis which includes more than 60 known species.
Red roomy grapevine cv is considered one of the most important seeded grape varieties grown in Egypt. The problem of berry set in this variety, produces, the loose clusters accompanied by a reduction in berry number and shoot berries. In addition to the reduction in the total yield resultant from these phenomenons.
This study aimed to recognize the benefit of using boric acid foliar spraying and fruit spurs girdling as well as pinching a tool to increase berry set and depress shot berries accordingly increased the yield, improved quality as well as to overcome the production problem in red roomy under Assiut Governorate conditions.
