Abstract
This work includes a study on the biological effects of one of the organo phosphorus insecticides nuvacron on ewes twenty four crossbred barki x merino ewes of the same age are randomly divided into three groups. The first and the second groups are treated daily by nuvacron (0. 176 mg / kg and 1 mg/kg body weight as low dose and high dose respectively starting from the 40th day of pregnancy, and the third group is kept as control. The food and water consumption for pregnant ewes, the symptoms, the body weIght and mortalities are recorded for pregnant and non-pregnant lactating ewes and their lambs through suckling them, are recorded. Blood is examined for glucose, acetylc holine sterase enzyme activity of blood and plasma , plasma phosphorus and serum electrolytes.
