Abstract The present investigation includes an experimental part utilizing 180 friesian femdles to study the influence of climate on friesian animals imported from england and new zealand in comparison with those locally born, as reflected on physiological reactions during the period from 1967 to 1970 also, an analysis is made of 515 lactation records and 403 reproduction records covering the period from 1962 to 1967 . The friesian cows tend to produce less milk, require more services to conceive, shorten the duration of their fetal accomodation and deliver calves of lighter weights at birth. |
