Abstract The goal of the study in this thesis was aimed to formulate a lubricating gel containing a broad spectrum bactericidal agent (ofloxacin) for this purpose. This invistigation aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the prepared lubricating gel by both in-vitro and in-vivo studies.!n addition, clinical validation was also performed. The systemic absorption of such bactericidal agent was found to be rather difficult to be monitored through blood samples, since most of such bactericidal agent mostly affected the recently introduced microorganisms, rather than the systemic infection.Accordingly, the protocol of the clinical evaluation is preferably focused on the difference between patients already treated with systemic antibiotic alone and those recieved both systemic and local bactericidal agent. |
