المستخلص Introduction: Tile world today iü distinguished by some speedy and consecutive variables. The most important of these variab les are the explosions in the field of knowledge and population. The informational explosion as daily asso ciated by new explorations leads to increase the individual’s as pirations towards a welf are life. The explosion in population in some poor countrios — of which is Egypt - leads to suppression of the Individual’s aspirations to en3oy this welfare. in a general context where there are the absence of ideal p~Ltorns, the withdrawal of ethical values and native principles, the spread of contradictions and the JCcrease of that important role of the religious men in satisfying and convincing people. In a context such as that one, the citizens are frustrated in their spiritual and materialistic aspirations.. This two — fold frustration makes Many people suffer from some passive phenomena. The most important of these is the state of p~i3sivity and apathy. t~o ci tT ft F- CD C ii C) cn CD 0 H- C, ~ ~2 ft CD Ii H CD FtJ CD ~< C) C Hi ft H S CD z’ a H• CD CD HC )1 CD I-I CD r1 CD H ~3’ U; CD CD C c-i- ri Fl S 0 CD CD z H CD ~ CD 0 C) H- Ct Hi Z —— -~ H CD ft C) CD CD Z’ r-~ ~ CD H- Hi CD ft -) 0 CD H CD Fl CD o CD CD ~ CD H- Fl X t~ C) ft H- o to a ft Ci) Fl ft a ft C t~) CD ft Ci CD H F—- Fl H- CD CD Fl cO H CD ‘< o < Pi 0 Fl CD 0 C cF, c_) CD ft C CD — o C CD ~ - H ft c-I- o p Hi D ft Ci ft 0 zr ft ‘r CD ~Y H CD CD CD a C) CD CD ft ‘-3 4—, -J Di CD ft Fl o CD o cu z Cl; 0 CD a Fi t5 C) ft ~‘ ‘I CD CD ‘I ft CD < H’ C CD ft E o CD Ci ft ft CD CD o ft D LI Li- CD a < o H ft 0C o CD Hi CD ft ft C CD CD H ft CD Fl CD CD CD CD CD t~ Ci ft II CD CD ft CD e CD Di CD Fl H- H 0 CD H- .-~ C Hi CD ~ CD~ CD C H- H- CD ‘I CD Z ft CD ~ 3 r ‘-3 C) CD: H H ft < C CD H ~ H- ~Z ‘< ::‘ 0 CD C Ftp 0 CD ft CD C Z H LI 0 Ci CD CD CD Hi I-’ ft ft CD CD C ft LI 0 CD ~o CD 0 H 0 0 C) H- CD Hi H- CD c CD ft b’ ~‘ ft CD CD a a z’ H CDj 0 LI CD CD CD ct C ft CD F-C ~f CD k< X CD Di CD - HH ft CD CD o ~ c-F ft < Hi ~‘ a CD 0 H- b CD: H- tr o ft ~i H ;D’ Hft CD CD o o H- H Hi H CD 0 <1 tT CD ft CD C 0 ft ~‘ LI a C ft a ft C Fl Ci 0 H- 5 CD 0 CD 5 ft ~ CD CD ~ CD CD Z CD a ‘I ft ~ CD CD-s < CD CD 0 ft c-I- CD CD H— H C CD < Ci ft H- 0 ‘-< CD ~ ii ft - ft ti) -, CD CD H k< 0 ft f-i- F ft 0 Fi ~‘ CD CD ft ~ ~‘ ?c’ Z CD H CD S S ‘-C a CD CD LI to 0 CD CD Hi Hi CD H- 0 LI CD ft LI o :z’ CD ~‘ ft CD - CD CD CD X H S S H- 0 ft 0 CD tO H CD ft 0 CD ft CD H- 0 f~t ‘-‘ ~ 0 H- CD ~ CD LI ft CD H CD ~‘ H- ft H- CD ft ‘< CD ft CD a ‘-< CD ~ 0 ft f-F ~‘ ft C CD Ci 0 ft CD ~< i ‘-C ft CD HCD H’ H- ft CD CD ft CD e CD a ii C - 0 CD Hft <CD ft H- ft H 0 CD H- ft ~i o 0 CD LI ft H- Ho ft :3- H b’ H- ‘< Hi CD ft f-c: ~ -3 CD :3’ CD Hi CD :3 CD CD F-~ CD :E H- H CD :35 ‘I tQ H- 0 Z ft Hi LCD :3’ CD ft H- H- 3’ ft F-C HCD CD Ci Ci CD a 0 ft S CD C CD ft Ci :3 a ~< Ci ‘-I CD P Hft CD CD CD :3 ft Ci CD 0 Hi ft 0 H- CD Ci :3 ft ‘-C Ci :3’ CD H- f-< :3 ft t~ ft :3- 0 CD CD ft Hi S ~3’ CD CD CD HCD H z a C H- :3’ ~ CD CD LCD H H CD Hi CD ft o ri C Fl ‘0 Ci CD CD Hft 0 ft • Hi CD CD ft o CD o F-I H- ft a ft 0 > ‘< Hi CD CD ft ~ C :3’ CD Hi CD Hi ft C) CD 0 F-I tZ’ :3 H- CD CD ‘CD HCD Ci CD CD ~ 0 LI :3- C) o H- ft H CD Z’ CD ft CD - ‘< ft 0 U) r~ 0 ft :3’ ft CD :3’ a CD 0 CD 0 C :3 Hi Hi H CD in LI CD H, :3 LI 0 H Ci ~ H :3--cl CD H çt CD Hft cr :z- H a a IS CD ft F-I CD H 0 C CD CD ft C Ci HCD CD :CD -:3 ‘cn ~LI CD CD CD Di F-I 0 -S CD CD M — Hi —3— studies, that treat the existential vacuum, for an important facet which the researcher pays attention to it in his present study; that is the necesso~ry contiguious between the existential vacuum as one of the suffering and despair that associated it. The most important finding that resulted from the researcher’s survey of the previous studies is the advice that “ Dycke’ said which says that we should enhance the applicable facets for the logo therapy by creating a new tool by which we can measure the existential vacuum cjuantitively. The researcher managed to prepare this tool in his present study. rmle Method and procedures: 1— The tools: A— The Meaning in life” Test ( M I L prepared by the researcher ) B— The “ Existential despair” test ( E 0 prepared by the researcher C— logo L- rapy program. prepared by the researcher ) —4— 2- The sample: The researcher made a pilot study which enobied him to elect the sample which contained C 20 ) volunteers of males who are failure in their study and who suffer from the existential vacuum and desperate apathy, and the Sa.~C number of females who suffer from the same case. And hence the individuals were divided into two groups The first one — the experimental group — contained 10 males and 10 females ) and the second one — the control group — contained C i.0 males and 10 females) 3— The procedures: The researcher applied the tools of research which are mentioned above) to the sample of research as follows: A — As to the “ Meaning in life” test; The researcher used it only in piolt study to recognize if the existential vacuum exists among the failure students or not. B — As to the Existential despair” Test: (1) AT the end of the piolt study, the researcher applied “ ED” test to confirm that the existence of desperate apathy state is associated with the existential vacuum. —5— (2) The researcher applied again the E D test to the two groups ( experimental and control) direc tly after the experiment to confirm the effective ness of logottierapy in curing the existential vacuum and desperate apathy state among the students of the experimental group. (3) The researcher repeated the application of the E D Test made ir again the two groups experimental and control ) after the period of following up ( after the passage of two monthes at the end of the experiment) for con Lirination of continuity of effectiveness of logotherapy in curing the existential vacuum arid desperate apathy state among the students oi~ the experimental group. C - As to the logotlierapy program. The researcher prepared this program and depended on its theoretical frame and what the previous studies brought from steps, methods and therapeutic techniques that belong logotherapy. The researcher also utilized the logotherapy program individually as to experimental grop without control group, the administeration continued for two monthes and half, where tne researcher encountered separately one session —6— every week as to every student C male and female ) until every case has ( 10 ) sessions through the program which continued for C 10 ) weeks. I The statistical_style~ — To compare between the four groups whFch the sample of fl.~esearch involved, the researcher used the kruskal — wallis test. In the case of existence of statistical differendes, the researcher used the Mann — Whitney - Test. To discover the significance of these differences Findings of research: =-_ 1— Theru were significant differences between the degrees of the experimental group C Males ) and the degress of the control group C males ) as to £ ID Test after the experi ment and in the follow up, in favour of the experimental group C males ) . This confirmed the first and fourth hypotheses of the study, and that meant the effectiveness of logotherapy in curing the existential vacuum and desperate apathy. 2— There were significant differences between the degrees of the experimental group C females) and the degrees of the control group C females) as to ED Test after the —7— experiment and in the follow up, in favour of the experimen tal group ( females ) , this confirmed the second and fiveth hypotheses of hte study, and that meant the effectiveness of logotnerapy in curing the existential vacuum and desperate apathy. 3— There were significant differences between the degrees of hte experimental group C males ) and the degrees of the experimental group C females ) as to E 0 Test after the experiment and in the follow up, this confirmed the third and sixth hypotheses of hte study, and that meant sex variable is significant at this study. 4— There were not significant differences between the degrees of the experimental group C males ) after the exper iment and its degrees in the follow up as to S D Test, this confiimed the seventh hypothesis of study, and that meant continuity of effectiveness of logotherapy in curing the existential vacuum and desperate apathy state among this group ( males 5— There were not significant differences between the degrees of the experimental group C females ) after the experiment and its degrees in the follow up as to S D Test, this confirmed the eighth hypothesis of the study, and that meant continuity of effectiveness of logotherapy in curing the existential vacuum and desperate apathy state among this group C females |
