Abstract

The first five years are considered a critical period of life where the child learns to investigate and react surrounding with his surrounding and they move curious move too much. Children are curious by nature; they will explore and plunder at any given opportunity.
All children are at risk for injury because of their normal curiosity, impulsiveness and desire to master new skills and children imitate adult behavior from an early age.
Most of families spend much of the time at home; they wash, cook, eat, sleep and work at home.
Children play in the environment around the home and adults like to talk, relax and entertain friends.
The home should be a comfortable place in which the family can happy and safe.
Home accidents differ from country to another due to many factors such as economical and cultural factors.
The largest number of accidents happens in the living room however the most serious accidentshappen in the Kitchen.
Preschool children accidents are an important cause of injuries and deaths so that accidents among children under the age of five years are important problems that need active reduction intervention.
So there is a need for educati0onal programs for parents of young children on how to prevent the occurrence of accidents in the home.
