Abstract
Nowadays there is an increasing demand for using medical planets’in therapy instead of using synthetic drugs, which may have adverse side effects.
Nigella sativa L. also known as Black cumin or Black caraway in English and Habit El-Baraka in Arabic, is one of the most famous medical plants which has attracted the attention of many investigators for long time. It is cultivated in vast area extending from some parts of the Mediterranean region to India and the area of afyon burder and Isparta of Turkey (Talia, 1997). The seeds of Nigella sativa L. have long been used by Armenians
f & Syrians as flavouring agents in cheese and bakery products (Abou-Donia & Abdel-Kader, 1979).
