The environmental problems which face us today have now grown to the point that they affect our very quality of life. There is increasing demand for a limited supply of natural resources used in the industry. In view of present global crises - population expansion, natural resource depletion and ecological disasters - there is an urgent need to align development and the practice of architecture with the concept of sustainability. Green architecture is one of these concepts and it is not a style, trend nor a vernacular and neither is it new. Green Architecture is a term used to describe economical, energy-saving, environmentally-friendly, sustainable development.
