Abstract
The present study was conducted aiming to study the following items:-
1- The taxonomy and morphology of endoparasitic helminthes of five fish species; Bagrus docmac, Malepterurus electricus, Oreochromis niloticus, Tilapia zilli and Sarotherodon galilaeus; collected from three selected water bodies; Bahr Shebeen Canal, Albagorya Canal and Sabal Drainage Canal; at Menoufiya Province.
2- The relationship between sex, length, weight and age of the examined fishes and the prevalence and mean intensity of helminth infection in different seasons of the year.
3- Molecular studies represented by DNA-fingerprint using RAPD-PCR assay to assess the genetic variations among some fish helminthes, using 4 arbitrary primers.
4- Protein pattern using (SDS - PAGE) for characterization of some fish parasite species.
