Abstract
This investigation embraces some field studies on three types of water areas at Sohag (the Nile,an irrigation canal and closed Fish pond}.These studies were performed monthly from May 1981 to October 1982(18 month}to follow the variatios in physico-chemical characteristics and phytolankton populations as well .
