Abstract Hepatitis B is a global health problem, particulary in the developing countries. It is estimated that more than 300 million carriers of hepatitis B surface antigen (HBsAg) are present worldwide, hepattis B is probably the most common cause of acute and chronic liver diseases and hepatocellular carcinoma(Hoofnagle ,1995). In short the current study showed the:-1- At 5 years of age , the response rate decreased dramatically to a level of 23.3% of all studied 60 cases before additional dose. 2- At 5 years of age the response rate greatly increased after booster dose up to 68.3% of all 60 studied cases. 3- Only 14 (23.3%) out of 60 children were positive for HBs antibody before additional dose at age 5 years. 4 – Negative cases 46(76.7%) before additional dose is divided into male 24(77.4%)& female 22 (75.9%)NB( All studied cases 60 children given routine HB vaccine at early ages at 2,4, and 6 months). |
