Abstract
This study suggests that micro spot CO2 laser excision and micro dissection with excision are both excellent tools for the surgical management of certain bening lesions of the vocal folds, such as nodules, polyps, and mucous retention cysts, without detectable differences between these two techniques. It should be remembered that lasers and micro instruments are tools and that it is the care, knowledge, and experience of the surgeon that will ultimately be the most important factor in the final outcome
