Abstract Spondylolysthesis is defined as the forward displacement of one vertebra over the vertebra below. It is classified into dysplastic, isthmic, degenerative, traumatic, pathological and postsurgical being the isthmic type is the most common type Low back pain is the cardinal symptom of spondylolysthesis which can be accompanied by sciatica or claudication pain, neurological defects or hamstring tightness may occur spondylolysthesis Plain X-ray of the lumbosacral spine together with CT scan are essential for diagnosis of spondylolysthesis and its degre Management of many cases of spondylolysthesis runs conservatively surgery is indicated when failed or neurological signs appear The aim of the work is to correlate the radiologic dynamic study of the lumbar spine in isthmic spondylolysthesis patients who undergo various surgical procedures to treat this condition with outcome of surgery at Menoufya University Hospitals in the period between January 2002 to January 2004 . 66.7% of the patients were female and 33.3% were males .Patients age ranfed from 23 to 55 years with the mean age of 37.7 years. |
