المستخلص

Three compound containing both of amide, amino and methylol groups were synthesized. These compounds were used by a pad-dry-cure technique, alone to; impart easy care properties and cationization of cotton fabrics to enhance its dyeability properties, or in admixture with melamine formaldehyde and N- Methylol-Diethyl-Phosphonopropionamide to modified cotton fabric to impart both easy care, flame retardant cotton fabric and enhancement of dyeability. These compounds were used to impart easy care, flame retardancy, antimicrobial finishing and dyeing with reactive, direct or acid dye in one bath, the work was extended to modify cotton fabric with improving dye uptake of direct, acid and reactive dyes. The factors affecting the reaction between these compounds and cotton fabric were studied to optimize the most suitable condition of these treatments. So the main result from these studied obtained no bad effect on the properties of treated dyed fabrics than untreated dyed fabrics.
Keywords: acrylamide, phosphopropionamide, carbamoyl ethyl amine, flame retardancy, easy care, antimicrobial, cationization, dyeing and cotton fabric.
