Abstract investigate some magnetic and electrical properties of the spinel ferrite Mr10.5Zn0.5Al~Fe2-~0x4 ;= 0.0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8 and 1. The investigation includes the study of the effect of Alsubstitution, temperature and frequency on various properties. The X-ray diffraction analysis of the samples ensures the formation of spinel ferrites. The lattice parameter, the density, X-ray-density and porosity are determined as functions of composition. The other investigated properties are : 1 - AC conductivity behaviour. 3- The dielectric constant and the loss tangent. 3- The thermoelectric power. 4- DC conductivity behaviour. 5- Permeability in two stages: a- Above room temperature. b- Below room temperature. The main conclusions can be suinmarized as follows : - The thermoelectric power values were negative for all samples. This indicates that the majority carriers in these samples are electrons. - The ac conductivity increases with increasing temperature ensuring the semiconducting behaviow of the samples. |
