Abstract
1) The main histopathological changes in the placenta of high risk pregnancy are: a- Hypovascularity of chorion villi thickt rophoblastic basement membrane and endart eritis obliterans of the fetal stem arteries in preeclamptic cases.b- Normal appearance of the placenta in cases of placenta praevia* c- Hypovascularized villi and collapsed umbilical vessels plus thrombosis of vessels of chorionic plate in cases of abruptio placentae. d- Extemely immature villi and glassy villous stroma i n Rhesus iso-immunizatione e- Oedemat ous villous stroma and hy povascularized villiin diabetic cases.
