Abstract
In the present work, 30 adult male albino rats were used.They were divided into two groups: 1) The first group: included 6 adult male rats, served as control to study the normal pancreas histologically, histochemically and ultrastructurally. 21 The second group: contained 24 rats were subjected to starvation (deprivation of all food, but supplied freely with water). The animals were sacrificed after different periods (3, 7, 10 and 12 days) following starvation.
