Abstract
This study was conducted to compare the effect of surgical wedge resection versus laparoscopic electrocautery of the ovaries In management of polycystic ovary disease (PCOD).Thirty one women with PCOD were selected for this work, from those attending the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of Tanta University Hospital and its outpatient clinics.The diagnosis of PCOD in them was based on clinical. endocrinological, ultrasonographic and laparoscopic documentation. All cases included in this study have failed previously to respond to various regims of ovulatory stimulants.The patients have been classified into two groups according to the line of treatment.
