Abstract The study included 8 1 patients with uterine body carcinoma treated at Radiation Oncology Unit, Tanta University Hospital and Radiation Oncology Department at the National Cancer Institute, Cairo University during 10 yeras (1 981 -1 990).Uterine body cancer is one of the important gynecological neoplasms. Treatment is highly individualized. Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy is the main line of therapy of most cases. The radiation therapy used as an adjuvant therapy to reduce the incidence of vaginal vault recurrence, control the,microscopic disease in the pelvic lymph nodes and improve the survival rate.The aim of the present work is to study the clinical features and patient characteristics of malignant uterine body carcinoma, statistical analysis of treatment results and determination of the different prognostic factors which may affect the survival. |
