Abstract
Most of the insecticide formulations are dissolved in organic solvents together with emulsifying agents , spreaders and stickers. These when mixed with water in the spraying machines they form emulsions or suspensions. The addition of foliar fertilizers might disturb the stability of such colloidal systems. Besides, these foliar fertilizers might interfere with the efficiency of the insecticide. The addition of foliar fertilizers to the insecticide sprays have been carried out on wide scale in cotton fields. Thus it was important to study the validity of such routine work. Hence four foliar fertilizers were chosen to study their effect on the physical characteristics as well as on the effectiveness of several insecticides on cotton leaf worm and pink bollworms attacking cotton plants.
