Abstract
The present i n v e s t i g a t i o n w a s carried out to study the e f f e c t of nitrogen and phosphoms f e r t i l i z a t i o n ad seeding r a t e on forage y i e l d , crude protein content md botanical composi.t;ion of berseem-oats mixtures , This study was conducted during the three successive seasons 1979/80, 1980/81 and 19131/82 at $&ha Rgricul.tura1 Research S t a t i o n , Agriculturd Research Centre, Egypt , The experimental design used was split plot with four r e p l i c a t i o n s . Nitrogen and phosphoms f e r t i l i z a t i o n t r e a t - ment were arranged at random i n the main p l o t s . These treatments were as follows : 1- 15 kg N / fad, 3- 30 kg P205 / fad. 4- (15 kg N + 15 kg P205) / fad. The sub-plots contained f i v e seeding r a t e s in 1979/80 season. These treatments were as follov~s: 2- 87.5% berseem + 12.5% oats. 3- 75% berseem + 25% oats. 4- 62,575 berseem + 37.5% oats. 5- 50% berseem + 50% oats ,
