Abstract The Aim of this work is to estimate the role of psychological factors in alopecia areata in egyptians. Alopecia areata is a unique idiopathic disorder characterised by rapid and complete loss of hair, it develops without subjective symptoms. Parasthesia may also present. The prrimary patch usually appears on the scalp. It may be on other areas as beard area, eyebrows, eyelashes and rarely on other hairy areas of the body. The patch is circumscribed and clearly defined. |
