Abstract
Pot experiments were carried out at the experimental station of the Faculty of Agriculture, Tanta University at Kafr El-Sheikh during 1977/78 and 1978/79 seasons to study the effect of MgclgS CnC12, NaCl end their mixture inratio 1 : 1 : 1 by weight on the growth and chemical analysis of two annuls, ( _Dimorphatheca eckcl onis and Callistephus chinensis ) and two shrubs, (Lantana camara and Myoporun pictum) The levels used in case of annnuals were 0.3, 0,5, 0.7, 0.9, 1.1, 1.3 end 1.5 gm, salt/’100 gm. soil in to control treatment which was used without additive salt and for shrubs were: control, 0.3, 0,6, 0.9, 1.2, 1.5, 1.89 . 2.1, 2.4, 2.7 ,and 3 gm. snlt/100 gm. Soil.
