Abstract Left ventricular diastolic function is impaired in patients with coronary artery disease even in the absence of deterioration of left ventricular systolic function. hd&s directly derived from the Doppler diastolic flow velocity wave &XIXI may be usehl in providing a non invasive reliable and easily obtained estimate of diastolic performance in patients with cardiac disease. Pulmonary venous Row variables as measured by transthroacic Doppler ultrasod can supplement mitral flow studies in detecting elevated L V, diastolic pressure. I The purpose of the present study is to assess the early effects of swcessful coronary angioplasty on Doppler derived left ventricular filling patterns and puhonary venous flow velocity signal. |
